Tried out Google Hangouts Chat yesterday and was completely underwhelmed.

Pros:

  • Easy set up for GSuite domain users
  • Integrated G-everything

Cons:

  • Everything is a clunky conversation thread
  • No desktop app
  • Not even close to Slack
