In some ways CSS Grid is easier and in other ways, it's not. It's kind of nice not to depend on a framework for grid, but it's taking time to learn.

My wife’s Nintendo Switch seems to love defaulting to 2.4Ghz instead of 5Ghz on our Eero network. Wondering if I should move the main AP to a different location.

Never mind my previous post. My buddy @Burk said that the single timer was in the previous HomePod firmware. Siri probably just doesn't like me.
Siri can now understand musicians names like “Basia” but still mispronounces it as “Baysha” when she repeats back the track.
You can also now ask Siri a question and do a follow up question and Siri remembers the context of what you asked. I did a series of questions on one subject and Siri remembered what I originally asked about and related her answers to the original question.
Anyone have a script that shows the last x played songs in your last.fm account? I had a script for my blog years ago but that was RSS based...
So glad the week is over. Exhausted from very little sleep. Still have a few errands to do before I can call it a day...

It was an extremely sunny and clear day today. Nice, since it’s been raining off and on for days, but very hot.

It’s still Spring Break at work but I’m still up at the butt crack of dawn because I don’t want to mess up my sleep schedule. Also, it’s easier to do a morning workout instead of making the excuse that I’m too tired to do it after work.
Let’s see how I do with the Apple Education event predictions I made earlier.

Getting to bed a lot later than I wanted to. CSS Grid and Feature queries will need to wait until tomorrow. 💤
No matter how many times I’ve learned new ways to do grid layouts for the web, it never seems to get easier. Feels like starting from scratch over and over again.
Today’s 🤔: At what point will most people care enough to quit a product to preserve their privacy and/or be willing to pay to use a service that does?

I wouldn't mind if Apple put the hardware on hold for a year and focused on improving software and services. Apple needs to fix and catch up in those areas… in some instances badly.

Spent some time to watch all of the Layout Land videos by Jen Simmons. Really helpful for learning about CSS Grid and how to use feature queries.

Anyone else using Things have the issue where the app launches, you try to check off an item then it crashes? Happens on first launch for me quite often, but is fine after relaunch.

Tried out Google Hangouts Chat yesterday and was completely underwhelmed.
Pros:
- Easy set up for GSuite domain users
- Integrated G-everything
Cons:
- Everything is a clunky conversation thread
- No desktop app
- Not even close to Slack

But it's OK! I've had and owned many many guitars. There are many I wish I hadn't sold, but that’s what you do when you are chasing another guitar…
When I was about 15 years old, a friend let me borrow an 80's Les Paul Custom that he was selling for a friend that had moved away. Fell in love with that guitar. I wish I had bought it but I didn't have $600 at age 15 LOL. Probably worth $$$ today.

Senior doggy got up at 1am and wanted out. Got up to take her out. She did her business then proceeded to wander out for a walk. After 15 minutes she got bored and decided to go home. Then I spent 2 hours trying to get back to bed. I am dead now.

Siri needs to get better and soon. Especially getting the name of songs and artists correct. Just try to get Siri to play ‘Time and Tide’ by Basia. It’s impossible without skewering her name to ‘Bay-Sha’.
