It was super surprising to see Bill Hader playing Han Solo in the new movie. Had no idea. Good job dude.

Solo is exactly like it's namesake: jumping head first into hyperspace with the wheels falling off but somehow managing to pull it together to succeed in the end! What a ride!
John Mayer's 'New Light' video is beyond perfect.

StopTheMadness is a Safari extension that stops web sites from disabling autofill/autocomplete of passwords, selecting, copying and pasting text, drag and drop and lets you use picture in picture with YouTube.
Out of curiosity, when you're using your VPN service, do you use their mobile and desktop apps or do you use OpenVPN?

@manton when I upload an image via Micro.blog Mac app and it gets posted to Movable Type, I noticed that the image tag has width and height set to nan and 0?
width="nan" height="0">
Is this a bug?

While this article isn't conclusive, it seems that the Google Duplex demo might have been staged.
The demo was damn curious and left me wondering if the folks at Google thought this through before showing it. If it's doesn't actually work as they demoed it, why show it?
Don't forget that Highland 2 launch sale ends tomorrow!

nemu*nemu is back! Check back on Wednesdays this month for new pages!
So I guess Twitter 3rd party clients will lose a lot of features starting August 16th. If so, I guess I'm quitting Twitter too.

UPS Innovations delivery really sucks for Hawaii residents. UPS took 10 days to deliver the package to USPS. USPS reports it will be another 10 days for delivery to me. 20 days to deliver a 2.30 lbs package from Austin, Texas to Hawaii.
Also, FoldingText 3 was announced. Not sure what the timeline for release will be for this. Currently use FoldingText as an external text editor for nvALT documents.
Tweetbot 3 (Mac) came out today! Looks like a nice update.
Giving The Archive a try as a replacement for nvALT. Anyone else using it?

Trust is mentioned twice in the company and product names, yet it uses Flash for log in page.
Maybe I shouldn’t trust them to realize this is 2018.

Really sad to miss out on Toronto Comic Arts Festival this year especially because one of their guests is Inio Asano!

TL⚡️DR: Hardware failure caused outage. Data was shared with 106 users due to accidental assigned same account ID. Journals using end-to-end encryption were not subject to accidental disclosure.

“Horrifying.”
“Successful spoofing of any kind destroys trust.”

Def Leppard is actually coming to play in Hawaii on Oct 19 & 20.
Using ad-hoc Apple Classroom and some students are showing as ‘offline’ but you don’t know why? My co-worker just found a 🐜 that is causing it but it’s an easy fix.
Looks like Day One sync is offline. First time since their launch that I've seen an outage.

Utada Hikaru's latest single 'Play a Love Song' is out on iTunes. Instabuy! …but I wonder if it will be available for streaming later?

I guess it's volcano time on the Big Island. I hope everyone there stays out of harms way!
We have 170 MacBook Pro (13", 2017 w/ Touch Bar) that were deployed in May of last year. Repairs so far: 3 keyboard repairs and 6 complaints that required compressed air in keyboard to fix.
Just throwing that out there for some perspective.
Apparently Kadokawa has posted 30 pages of original full sized artwork from the latest collection of Azuma Kiyohiko's Yotstuba& Volume 14 along the central passage of Tokyo station! Oh how I wish I could go there to get a closer look!

My hope for this month: that the unpredictable rain stops and the sun is out at least 3 consecutive days so I can wash my 🚗 (which would cause the rain to return, of course). Seriously, I really need to wash my car.
💡 I’ll wash my 🚘 the next time it rains.
Ah! The good old days of programming in 1988.
I still miss HyperCard but realize that all the webdev stuff kinda makes up for it.
