Well... I tried. You have beautiful picture quality and nice hardware design. But apparently, I’m just not smart enough to figure out how to get you to work. I tired two different units and can’t figure out how to access you remotely, so you’re headed back to Costco.

At the start of the year I quit FB but didn't delete my account. I did today. Here's how you can too if you'd like to.

Dark Phoenix trailer looks good for the story they are planning to tell. It probably picks and chooses from Claremont/Byrne's original. I really have issues with the movie timelines as this one will negate basically all of the Wolverine films unless Logan shows up…

iPhone XS camera is wonderful. Not totally sure if the X would be able to capture the background lighting the same way...

Three days in with the Apple Watch Series 4: glad I skipped Series 3 and held out for this one. Everything is nicer, faster and easier to use. Haven’t had time to deep dive yet but it’s noticeably faster in every way.

3 days in with the iPhone XS: it’s noticeably snappier/faster and the camera is way better too. Upgrading from the X is probably not necessary, but if you are in an upgrade program, it’s worth it.

If you got a new iPhone today, don't forget to transfer your Suica card to your new phone if you have one.

I have it on good authority that my new stuff has been delivered to my home and is waiting for me to set up... after I finish the 10 million things I need to do first.

Does every single tech site have to include snark in every article? It gets so tiring.

If you told me this back in 1986, I would have thought you were nuts.

CDs Are Dying Three Times as Fast as Vinyl Is Growing

We live in interesting times.

Awesome to see @boltcity's latest book, Amulet 8: Supernova finally coming out!

@kyubikitsy helped out a bit to get it wrapped up. Such a labor of love and can't wait to pick it up!

I have tried a few times to use VS Code but I feel like I'm reinventing the wheel. Feels like when I moved from TextMate to Sublime Text years ago. In the end, I feel like Sublime Text is fine for what I use it for. I haven't really found a need to switch.

Thinking of setting up the next iPhone from scratch instead of iCloud backup.

This was almost an instabuy for me. It’s soooo close to perfect! But it’s a matte finish instead of gloss!! Why????

And… I'm done! Quick and easy.

I hope I don't fall asleep before Apple opens the pre-orders.

Wife is getting the XS Max. Debating if I should do the same. More concerned with it being too large to carry around.

It was refreshing to not have Twitter open during the Apple Event today. In the past, it’s degenerated into unpleasant, endless snark, so it was really great to just turn it off and enjoy the event.

Apple Events Mac app doesn't stream. Neither did Safari until I restarted it. Weird.

Volume 1 is just $0.99 as usual.

Had fun (NOT!) pulling RAM out in pairs then installing one by one to figure out which SODIMM was bad in @kyubikitsy's iMac.

MacMini home server uses the same RAM so I popped it out and put it into her iMac. Back to work!

Crucial has lifetime warranty so should be fine.

There’s nothing like coming in to work and smelling a blown capacitor in your office.

48 port switch died over the holiday and both power supplies are not powering it up. And there went my morning!
